This is the ARECIBO MESSAGE—first attempt to communicate with extraterrestrial intelligence ever made. It contains 1679 bits of information decoding e.g. human DNA structure, life-creating elements, human population or Earth’s position in the Solar System. It was sent 1974 from the Arecibo radio telescope station towards the globular cluster M13. It will reach it’s destinations in 25.000 years.
